2nd LEG PALERMO- PALMA DE MALLORCA – 550 NM; 22.10.2015-01.11.2015

Route that goes through the center of Mediterranean offers a lot of off shore sailing as well as visits to Sardinia –island half way  between Tunisia and mainland Italy which makes it distinct and colorful. This island is known for its blue waters -making it a superb diving spot, as well as its Roman ruins and memorable cuisine.

For the start of our visit we have chosen Calgliari for which many travelers say that the best way to arrive in is by sea, city DH Lawrence compared to Jerusalem and not a bit like Italy.  This city nestled in the Golfo degli Angeli, known for its golden palazzi that lead to Il Castello, is not to be missed.

Speaking of sights not to be missed we will also stop at Capo Carbonara, a protected marine park known fort perfect conditions for scuba divers, bays with great white quartz sand, backed by cliffs covered with wildflowers and it’s walking trails. Nearby Notteri salt lake is known for flamingos and shearwaters.
Also on our list of ports we plan to see is Carloforte on the east coast of Saint Peter’s Island close to the island of Sant’Antioco.

First port in Spain are sun-bleached shores of Menorca . The easternmost Balearic island and it’s cities, Anglo-Spanish Maó and medina-like Ciutadella, are delightfully relaxed. Island is known for the white-sand bays and dry-stone walls. This beautiful island is, since 1993, protected by Unesco as Biosphere Reserve, aiming to preserve the wetlands and mysterious Bronze Age sites.

Second Leg ends with transfer Menorca-Palma de Mallorca.
